Lisää julkaisupäivä ahdinko keskustelua.. Discshop on siirtänyt PS3:sen LE:n julkaisu viikolla, kun taas xboxin julkaisu pysyy samassa eli 21. päivä. Voisikohan siis huokaista helpotuksesta? Itellä ei juuri tällä hetkellä ole mahdollista ottaa yhteyttä asiakaspalveluun varmiistakseni asiaa, mutta jos joku muu näin tekee niin ilmoitelkaa ihmeessä.

Tällaista ilmoittavat Discshopin asiakkaille(tai siis niille jotka ottavat yhteyttä asiakaspalveluun):

Tämänhetkisten tietojen mukaan ainoastaan limited edition ps3:n saanti varastoomme viivästyy, xbox360-versio on ajallaan tulossa varastolle, tavoite on että ennakkovaraajilla olisi tuote julkaisupäivänä 21.05.2010.

Mutta, henkisesti varautuisin ainakin mahdollisiin, viime hetken myöhästymisiin. Toisaalta kun tutkii muita suomalaisia puljuja on monilla tuo 360-version LE vielä mukavasti aikataulussa ja tilattavissa. Tästä voisi päätellä että tätä olisi ainakin nyt toistaiseksi riittäviin kaikille haluaville. Suureen paniikkiin ei ainakaan boksilaisten kannata vielä ryhtyä.

Riding along in the desert, you may see two groups of men shooting it out. Whether to intervene is your choice. If you do, it may not be clear which are the good guys. Perhaps there are no good guys and instead it is two groups of bandits, or it may be the Mexican Army battling a band of rebels.

At the outset Red Dead Redemption promises to be GTA on horseback. Several hours later it goes on to fulfil that promise and then top it. Red Dead Redemption on länkkäri parhaimmillaan, ja kun lopputekstit rullaavat noin 30 pelitunnin jälkeen (enkä tehnyt kuin kolmanneksen sivutehtävistä) olen jo melkein aikeissa anoa green cardia ja ostaa ranchin Arkansasista, kunnon lauman Black Angus -mullikoita sekä ylisuuren Stetson-hatun.

There's nothing over the top or try-hard about Red Dead Redemption - you never get the feeling the developers have taken aim at a specific rival, or made deliberate strides to avoid being pigeon-holed as GTA Wild West. Sure there are similarities between the two Rockstar games, but Red Dead stands aside from and - even though the office is split, with some preferring GTA's scuzzy urbanity - arguably taller than its urban cousin.

Anyway, Red Dead is a great game to climb into and just live for a while, and that's everything I wanted. In fact, I'm actually feeling pretty annoyed that I'm not wandering around in there right now. Stupid videogame reviews. There are herds to save, outlaws to kneecap, frontier ladies to rescue, random strangers to tie up and drop off a cliff for no reason, and sunsets that need riding off into.

Ei ole hirveästi noita arvesteluja tarvinnu lukea, että tietää kovan pelin olevan kyseessä. Hype oli tehnyt tehtävänsä ja uponnut meikäläiseen ku häkä. Loistavaa, että saatiin selvennys siitä, että LE version pitäisi tulla perjantaiksi discshopista, eikä tarvitse odottaa vielä viikkoa.

Näkisin omalla kohdalla CVG:n loppukaneetin aika lailla kiteyttävän sen mitä Reddead tulee minulle olemaan .

Täyisn samaa mieltä, tämä on juuri sitä mitä peliltä haettiinkin:

Arvosanat ovat tosiaan varsin kiitetettäviä puolin ja toisin. Ei valittamista. Pitää tutustua noihin tarkemmin illemmalla oikein ajan ja vaivan kanssa.
Nyt niitä löytyy noihin viimeisimpiin viesteihin mukavasti koottuna, siitä vain napsimaan ja narskuttelemaan.

Ja jottei ihan jaaritteluksi mene(pitäähän se hypejuna pitää loppuun saakka kuumana) niin tässä vielä pelin kartta kokonaisuudessan kuolattavaksi.

16 arvostelua, keskiarvona 96/100. Ounastelin melko hyvää vastaanottoa, mutta en sentään mitään näin ultimaalisen hyvää. Ei tästä oikein enää paremmaksi voi laittaa.

Jos nyt avautuisin ja purkaisin kaiken hype energiani, siitä muodostuisi vähintäänkin pitkän novellin pituinen sekamelska, jossa kompastelisin omiin sanoihin, kun kaikki sanottavat ja hehkutukset täytyisi saada ulos. Täytyy tyytyä pienimuotoisempaan hypeen ja yrittää muilla keinoin purkaa hypeä ulos . Kaikki tiedostamattomat ja tiedostetut unelmat käyvät toteen perjantaina, kiitos Rockstarin! Ihan mielenkiinnosta, kuinka moni omistaa stetsonin? Itseltä tuommoinen löytyy ja se lävähtää samantien päähän perjantaina ja saa siinä pysyäkin koko viikonlopun.

Gamereactorin ainoaksi miinukseksi jää pitkät välimatkat, jonka taas itse nostaisin ehdottomasti plussien joukkoon. Tämä pelin on fiilistelijöiden unelma teos!

While drunk the player must take caution as it is very easy to upset a patron and get invited to a duel.

Epäselväksi vähän jää voiko kaveria haastaa kädenvääntöön tai laittaa pokeripeliä pystyyn possen kesken!

Mielenkiintoiseksi random tapahtumat tekee myös se seikka ettei vastaan tulevista ammuskelijoista voi tietää ovatko he hyviä vai pahoja...

This is simply a beautiful game, and it's provided more than a few moments where I completely forgot where the hell I was supposed to be going while riding over golden hills at sunset or through the desert in the middle of a nighttime lightning storm. It doesn't quite convey the loneliness of the real empty spaces, but does compress the essence of all the varieties of land and weather native to those parts into a few hundred miles ride.

Jes, pitäs olla taas hassuttelukoodeja ja noi perus rellestämiskoodit (infinite *). Sentään otettu opiksi sen suhteen GTA IV:stä, siinä oli perhanan tylsiä koodeja.

Joo ihan kivoja koodeja näyttäs olevan mut ny oliski kiva tietää et miten pirussa ne saa toimimaan , tarvii jotai Code Phrases enkä oo mistää niitä löytäny... ärsyttävää. Jotenki laiska pelaamaan kunnolla tuli tota pari missionia tahkottua mut eipä enempää oo jaksanu. Ni noi koodit vois olla kivoja

Kuulostaa aika vähältä tämmöiselle pelille tuo 15-20 h läpäisy. Paljonkohan aikaa jengi käytti GTAIV:hen? Minen sitä ole pelannut kun tuo geneerinen nykymeininki ei nappaa paskan vertaa, mutta sen verran mitä on kokeillut, niin isolta peliltähän se vaikuttaa.

Mulla meni ainakin reippaasti yli 30h, vaikka kymmenen tunnin jälkeen jo vihhailin sitä niin paljon, että yritin vain saada mahdollisimman nopeasti läpi.

Kyllä GTA:hn sai menemään aikalailla mukavasti yli 30h, varmasti enemmänkin jos viimeinen kolmannes ei olisi ollut niin puuduttava eikä sitäi olisi tarvinnut juosta pakko pullana läpi. Tämä saldo oikeastaan vain tarinatehtäviä seuratessa. IV:ssä ei ollut oikeastaan paljoakaan varsinaisia sivutehtäviä joten kaikki keskittyminen meni juuri tarinan seuraamiseen.

Red Dead Redemption on erinlainen koska se painottuu suurempaan määrään sivutehtäviin tarinatehtävien kustannuksella. Tämän ansiosta voisin kuvitella RedDeadin tarinan olevan keskittyneempi/lyhyempi mutta pelikelloon saadaan elämää vaihtoehtoisilla sivutehtävillä. Monet arvostelijat ovatkin sanoneet läpäiseensä pelistä vasta 1/3.
