Full Throttle: Hell On Wheels Cancelled
By: D. F. Smith August 7, 2003 2:20 PM PDT
Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels, the sequel to the classic biker-gang action-adventure Full Throttle, has been cancelled, LucasArts announced today. The game had been MIA since its debut at E3 earlier this year -- a recent LucasArts press event featured no sign or mention of the game.
"We do not want to disappoint the many fans of Full Throttle," said LucasArts president Simon Jeffery in today's brief announcement, "and hope everyone can understand how committed we are to delivering the best quality gaming experience that we possibly can."
Hell on Wheels had drawn rather modest reactions from the press allowed in to see the game at E3, but it was certainly no worse than at least one game LucasArts released recently. The publisher's commitment to quality, however, is laudable.
