Adding the TCP/IP Protocol
If TCP/IP is not connected to your network card (or is not in the Protocols tab in Windows NT 4.0), click the Add button from the network control panel (Accessed via the Network icon in the Windows Control Panel or by right clicking the Network Neighborhood icon on the desktop and selecting properties).

Server TCP/IP Setup
The first step in getting the server setup is to make sure that all information for your Dial-Up Adapter (or Cablemodem, DSL, ISDN, etc.) is entered correctly. Second is to make sure that in the network control panel (Accessed via right clicking the Network Neighborbood icon or My Network Places icon on the desktop) you have TCP/IP added to your network card. If TCP/IP is not here, you should add the TCP/IP protocol.
