my inquiry about PS2 in FIN

Hi guys~~~ i am a japanese now living in Vaasa. i take a lot of game soft that i had in japan. now i need to buy a PlayStation 2 here. but the the PS2 here in finland cannot read my games.

what i want to know is, where i can buy a PS2 that with the Messiah chip~~ you guys know what is it?~~ with this chip the console can read any kind of PS2-ROMS.

ps2 is rather heavy, i thought. i took a laptop in my bag and i couldn't carry more with me~~ and also the voltage was 100v in japan and is NTSC standard~~ these are the reasons~~~~

well, this hevnet.com is really like heaven!! 420 euro for a ps2~~~ i don't know if it is expensive, i just know i could buy two ps2 with this amount of money~~~

what do you think~~ any other choice?

If you are ever planning to sell your games let me know, mine only plays J software voltage converter does the trick for such problems btw.

No, I'm Finnish. I just listen to Japanese music so I kinda get my games from there as well while ordering CD's and DVD's. So a japanese PS2 serves a good purpose ^_~

The normal price for PS2 in Finland is 249 euros, so yes, the modded PS2 @ hevnet is quite expensive. The messiah is really expensive chip plus the installation is not easy.

I guess the easiest trick would be to bring your PS2 from Japan and use voltage converter. NTSC is not a problem with new TV sets that are sold in Finland.
