Trials HD’s later tracks are punishingly difficult. What made you confident that players could reach that level of ability?
AI: Because we made Trials 2 Second Edition, and that’s an even harder game, so we made it one level down! [Laughs] But it’s also the fact that it’s your own skill that is developing. In some other games you level up or whatever, but in Trials you become better. And you know that you’re better: if you have a break and then come back a week after, you’re only as good as you were before. It’s really a personal investment on that skill. That’s the kind of thing that we were confident about: it may feel hard, but you will get it if you continue with the game.
