Uusimpia Rareware-huhuja..

Sivun uutisissa on nimittäin pari mielenkiintoista Rareware-huhua. Painotan siis sanaa huhu:

1.) Conker's Other Bad Fur Day oli kehitteillä GameCubelle, mutta se pistettiin toistaiseksi jäihin tuntemattomasta syystä.
2.) Microsoft on yrittänyt ostaa Conker's Bad Fur Dayn oikeuksia xboxille.
3.) Rareware kehittää roolipeliä.

Itse sain tänään Conker's Bad Fur Dayn N64:lle ja kyseessä on todellinen helmi, joten jatko-osan saaminen olisi todellinen lottovoitto. Toivon ainakin itse, että Mikkisofta ei saa oikeuksia ostettua, koska silloin on allekirjoittaneellakin Xboxin osto edessä.

Ja Rarewarelta roolipeli? Taitaa olla ensimmäinen laatuaan ko. yhtiöltä...?

Conker Cubelle olisi aika kova juttu. Itse odottelen että Rare aloittaa Killer Instinct 3:n tekemisen (jos alkoittaa...).

Epäilen itse vahvasti näitä MS-juttuja, mutta eihän sitä koskaan tiedä.

RPG Rarelta? Hmm... Noh jokainen genre johon he ovat ryhtyneet pelejä väsäämään ovat saanet aina uuden helmen. Toivotaan nytkin asian olevan näin. Miten olisi Mario RPG 3...?

Noh, katsellaan mitkä ovat huhuja ja mitkä ei... Kai se ajan mittaan selvinee!

Tätä RPG-hommelia tarjoillaan nyt siis selitykseksi sille, miksi Rareware on tosiaan viettänyt niin kauan hiljaiseloa. Mario RPG:hen en usko, mutta toivossa on tietysti hyvä elää. Itse nauttisin kyllä, jos vaikka ko. peli tulisi GameCubelle Nintendolta itseltään!

no nyt kun on puhe huhuista, niin tässä mielenkiintoista inside-läppää, and I quote:

Rare nyt näyttää viettävän muutenkin vähän hiljaiseloa, sillä muista peleistä kuin Star Fox Adventuresista ei ole tullut viime aikoina mitään uutta infoa/ruutuja pitkiin aikoihin.

Milloinkas Kameosta on tullut viimeksi minkäänlaista uutta infoa?

"NGC Magazine has sent out the strongest indication yet that Rare are not jumping ship. The popular Uk GameCube magazine let a few things slip in an article published in their latest issue, out today.

The article reads ''«One of our most reliable sources in the industry - who has close ties
with rare - says he's certain they're not going anywhere. At E3 he told us he'd been speaking to management at the twycross funsters and they
are becomming frustrated with the rumuors surrounding the company, particularly that they were in discussion with activision. Another
develpor told us "I just don't see any reason for them to move. What haven't they got at the moment? They make a lot of money, they're left to get on with their games, they're one of the few Nintendo-affliated companies that Nintendo aren't calling every 2 seconds - and Nintendo put up with there delays. Activision wouldn't put up with Starfox's delay." Fantastic stuff. Let's just hope that NGC are right.

In my mind I could never see Rare developing for other rival platforms, but who would have predicted Sega's multiformat strategy? More news as we get it folks. Thanks for the reminder, Alberto Riol. "

In regard to Activision and Microsoft publishing deals, Rare said simply: "We do not comment on rumors." Interestingly, however, when questioned directly on whether or not the company was in possession of PS2 or Xbox development hardware, the company did not offer a denial, but another "no comment." With no concrete answers still, more speculation is bound to run rampant.
