PlayStation Store Pre-Orders

This article provides information on pre-orders for the PlayStation 4.
To pre-order a game from the PlayStation store on the PS4
- Choose the [PlayStation Store] and press the X button.
- Once the store is open, push up on the d-pad, highlight search, and press the X button.
- Search for the name of the game you'd like to pre-order. Once the name of the game appears, highlight it and press the X button.
- Choose the [Add to Cart] option and complete the purchase.
To cancel a pre-order
Please contact PlayStation Consumer Services via Chat or Phone to cancel a pre-order.
To see how much time is left until pre-ordered content is available
- Choose the [PlayStation Store] and press the X button.
- Search for the name of the game you pre-ordered. Once the name of the game appears, highlight it and press the X button.
- The product page will display a countdown timer that shows how much time is left until the release date. Note:The countdown timer only appears for titles added to the PlayStation Store after 4/30/14.
Automatically downloading pre-ordered content
To automatically download pre-ordered content:
- Go to [Settings] > [System] > [Automatic Downloads and Uploads] and make sure the option to automatically download is enabled. Note: You must have system software 1.70 to use this feature.
- Content will pre-load onto the PS4 shortly before the release date. The content will not be playable until the official release date

Pre-load pre-ordered content
Beginning with Destiny, certain pre-ordered titles can be automatically be pre-loaded prior to their release. This lets you rest easy knowing that your game will be ready for play the second its release date hits.
Please note:
- Only titles designated as having pre-load functionality at the time of pre-order purchase can be pre-loaded.
- Pre-loading does not grant early access to the game; it simply loads it several days prior to its release so you're able to play it on its release date.
- Automatic downloads must be enabled for your PS4 to pre-load your game. Follow the instructions in the section above for instructions on how to make sure this feature is enabled.
