Mua tossa arvostelussa ihmetyttää tuo arvosana. Sehän on paljon alhaisempi kuin mitä 2k9 sai aikanaan ja kyllä kaikki peliä kokeilleet ovat sanoneet, että on 2k10 parempi. Tuolla 2khockey.netissä ehkäpä tuo negatiivinen yleisvire johtunee aika korkeiksi nousseista odotuksista.

Itse mä näen asian niin, että 2k:n peliä ei voi tuomita vain muutamien pelien perusteella. Ne vaativat aikaa. Arvostelijat eivät aina tähän pysty. Ja aika moni arvostelija ei tiedä jääkiekosta mitään muuta kuin EA NHL-sarjan ;) EA on varmasti ansainnut arvioinsa - on se sen verran huoliteltu tuote kaikenkaikkiaan ja tuntuu heti alusta alkaen hyvältä. Tähän kun lisätään, että 2k:ssa löytyy varmasti puutteita vähän sieltä täältä (käyttöliittymä, ominaisuudet, animaatiot yms.). Kuitenkin - ainakin mun kirjoissa, silloin kun 2k osuu nappiin, pelikokemus on ihan toista luokkaa. Harmi vaan, että 2k on sarjana niin epätasainen ja ilmeisesti organisaationa aika huonosti johdettu (mainonta = ei demoa & e3:sta, kehitys = tehdäänkö realistista kiekkoa vai casual-peliä, julkaisu = euroopan julkaisussa ilmeisesti taas jotain häikkää).

Itse en kaikissa asioissa ihan Venomin kriittisyyteen asti menisi, etenkin tuo maalivahtiasia on sellainen. Venom vihasi 2K9:iä ja rakastaa 2K8:ia. Hän ei ole pelannut 2K9:iä kuin muutaman pelin. Siis tarkoitan että itsekin pidän edelleen 2K8:n maalivahteja parhaina, mutta esimerkiksi omalla NHL 2K9 Minnesota kaudellani lähes koko kauden pelattuani Niklas Bäckströmin torjuntaprosentti on 91, vaikka olen liigan puolivälin alapuolella sarjataulukossa. Muutaman NHL 2K9:n torjuntapätkän olen tännekin pannut ja niistä ovat maalivahdit menneet vielä hieman eteenpäin.

There aren’t many remaining sports where there are two fully licensed major players in the market, but ice hockey remains defiantly committed to sowing its wild oats. The problem for 2K Sports’ effort is that EA’s competitor was leagues ahead in the gameplay stakes last year and has a much bigger online following. How can 2K10 compete?

The answer is by filling in some of the gaps EA still haven’t covered. Where EA’s NHL 10 rarely departs from its high ground as an ultra-realistic sim, NHL 2K10 lets you pelt around the ice at high speed, charge up shots even while your player is in the process of being flattened and score without having to work the defense anywhere near as hard as its super-serious cousin.

The controls are simple, allowing you to get by with just the joystick and a couple of buttons, but there’s enough flexibility to give you a wide range of tactical options once you get past the basics. Play somebody who knows what they’re actually doing, for example, and any button-mashing tendencies you have will be brutally exposed.

Given its arcade tendencies it’s surprising that NHL 2K10 doesn’t portray the physical side of the game quite as well as the EA title. Everything from the sound of a player being pounded into the board, to the accompanying animation is less visceral in 2K10, and fights are disappointingly weak.

That’s not to say it lacks any cool touches of its own. It looks great when players get their sticks tangled together, and the ice looks nicely cold and shiny. Plus there are the bonus modes, which are completely absent from the rival game.

Pond hockey puts you in a higher-scoring four-on-four game set outdoors. Mini rink shrinks the playing area and reduces the player count to two, which makes for something vaguely akin to the XBLA game that EA released separately. Also included is Zamboni mode, for anyone with a burning desire to drive the ice-polishing truck. Unfortunately you can’t do this during a proper game. Maybe next time…

Practically everything is in place for a long-lasting hockey experience, from franchise mode to player creation to all manner of custom online functionality, and if you’re looking for a game where you won’t have to practice for hours before even being able to score without AI assistance, this is the one. But once again we can’t help but be drawn back to the superior controls, visual polish and deep online team play of the EA game. All other things being more or less equal, 2K10 still comes off second best but the gap isn’t quite as big as last year.

Se on kyllä hassua, kuinka erilailla nämä pelit voi nähdä. EA = ultrasim? 2k=arcade? Ja että noin lyhyessä arviossa mainittavaa on, että jää kiiltää hienosti. Enpä paljoa anna tuolle arviolle painoarvoa.

Tuota en voi kyllä millään allekirjoittaa. Nimenomaan nuo taklaukset yms. fyysiset ominaisuudet ovat paremmin hoidettu 2K:lla. Ja samaten nuo 2K9:stä lähtien olleet tappelut ovat kevyesti realistisinta tappelua kiekkopeleissä ikinä. Hohhoijaa. No hienoa, että jää sentään kiiltää. Seuraava arvostelu, kiitos. :rolleyes:

Niinpä. Tuntuu jotenkin että kaikki nämä jo tulleet arvostelut on tehty äkkiä, hiukan peliä kokeilemalla. Ja se että 2K10:ä sanotaan kaikissa arcadeksi ja EA:n simuksi, sattuu silmään.

IGN:n wii osasto oli kyllä sitä mieltä että wii-versio on "surprisingly good", enkä usko että hd-versiot sen huonompia on. Tosin siinä poppoossa on oikeesti jääkiekkkoihmisiäkin, joten odotettavissa lienee oikeasti varsin asiantunteva arvostelu. En ymmärrä tuota pitkäikäisyyden numeroa 6.7.... Jo online franchise moodi antaa aihetta odottaa pitkäikäistä peliä. Plus tietty kaikki herkut päälle.

Noh, katsellaan sitten ajan kanssa miltä peli tuntuu. Onko JuVilla peli jo hallussa?

Peli on ollut hallussa eilisestä asti. Pelaillut nyt kautta 16 matsia, hyvältä vaikuttaa. Ai ai kun tykkään kun pelaajat menee päädystä hakee kiekkoa ja taistelee olka olkaa vasten kiekosta.

Right stick - manuaali kikat ei ole muuten niin tönkköjä kuin videoissa kun vähän tajuu miten sitä käytetään, pari ihan makeeta maaliakin saanu aikaseks. (Laitan iltasella videoita kun töistä pääsen.)

CPU AI osaa pelata ali ja ylivoimaa esim. Olet ylivoimalla ja kierrätät kiekkoa laitoja pitkin, CPU pysyy tiiviisti neliössä ja pitää maalin edustaa, ei lähde höntyilemään turhia, mutta auta armias jos teet pienen harhasyötön niin tietokone lähtee kyllä hakemaan kiekkoa agressiivisesti.

Omasta mielestäni peli on todella hyvä. Online toimi ainakin 3:ssa ottelussa mitä pelasin lagittomasti. Frachise moden "Blog upload" toimii kuten pitääkin.

Hiukan miinusta siitä, että peli on kerran jäätynyt aloitukseen ja piti käynnistää peli uudelleen.

Össi tai joku muu - 2khockey.netin foorumeilla huhutaan jostain jäätymisbugeista. Tiedätkö näistä mitään? Jossain sanottiin, että ilmeisesti johtuu ladattavista rostereista tai muista...?

Ilmeisesti aloituksissa joillakin peli jäätyy. Huhu kertoisi, että asia liittyisi jotenkin 2Ksharesta ladattavaan materiaaliin, mutta siitä ei ole varmuutta. Osalla kuitenkin peli on toiminut moittteettomasti koko ajan. Osalla on jäätynyt monessa pelissä peräkkäin ja sitten yhtäkkiä toiminut moitteettomasti. Jotkut kertovat, että pelin boksille uudestaan asentaminen olisi auttanut asiaa, Tiedä häntä. Toivottavasti oma peli toimii. Pelin tuotantotiimissä työskentelevät pahoittelivat jo asiaa 2Khockey.netissä, että uskoisipa siihen sitten päivityksen olevan tulossa. Joka tapauksessa taas huonoa mainosta 2K:n lätkäpeleille. Ja eihän tuommoisia saisi päästää läpi.

Itse ennakkotilasin Puolenkuun Pelleilyistä. Johtuen lähinnä siitä, että lähin pelikauppa on Oulussa (135km), Kajaanissa (100km) olisi sitten Prsimaa ja Cittaria. Eilen tiedustelin että miten olisi mahdollista saada tämä tosiaan julkaisupäiväksi, eli perjantaiksi tänne Puolangalle. Ei vastausta Puolenkuun pelleilyistä. Ja tilausstatuksessa lukee yhä "odottaa". Eli tuskinpa pelailen tätä ennen maanantaita. :(

Tasaisen tappavaan tahtiin tulee 2Khockey.netiin ylistystä pelin tekoälystä. Samoin kontrollit kuulemma ovat hyvät, kunhan muistaa, että ne toimivat erilailla kuin EA:n pelissä. Kärsivällisyys on tässä opetteluvaiheessa selvästi hyve.

Ihan muutama käyttäjä kommentti tuossa alla taas.

As far as both series go I am the least patient hockey video gamer ever. For years I've complained about the developers line "We'll look into that for next year.", cried the woes of Maxime Talbot's face not being right, or said this and that are a disgrace and that person doing the goalies should be fired. I feel a major sense of disappontment in the community about 2k10 and I'll admit yesterday driving around for work I thought afew times, maybe I should hit the Best Buy and get NHL10. But I'm here to say stick with it guys, last night I played a number of games: Felt like I got my sliders right, created Jason Allison, Theo Fleury, PK Subban and the like and used all the NHL teams for at least one period each, and I'm here to say the gameplay is a blast. Look the goalies are not 2k8, and the presentation certainly is not. There is almost no interaction amoung players after the whistle. It's like when Evil Planktin is controlling the fine folks of Bikini Bottom and they just become mindless zombies (maybe the players are joining the Leagues owners as the mindless zombies of Gary Bettman). The game play is fun, and like real hockey (Alittle self promotion; I played major junior and have been involved in the sport for about 37 of my 43 years now, and was the motion capture goalie model for an illfated hockey game in 1997 which never was released) it is not easy to play. Anything can happen, there is no instant success, and you have to work at it. The control is there, the subtile little things like the pinning, stick lifts, various an,imations ARE there. It may take time to find them (30+ games in and still looking for my first fight, and I've played Leafs vs Habs 6 or 7 times!) The biggest worry for the community is that, well, people are generally stupid, they drink the EA Kool-Aid, they play NHL10 out of the box and they can toe drag with eaze and off they go, but there is more to NHL2k10. Our biggest worried is that with the gross mis-management of the Marketing department (thank god for the WAZ's and Venom's and all you others) and lets face it, small budget or not some of the Marketing Moves have been terrible (I work in a marketing capacity) and that this game may not survive in time to see the ultimate realization of our wishlists. I'll add alittle more to this at a later date but keep the faith and keep playing. (Venom, slowly put the 2k8 disc down!)

Yes, out of the box it is alien to the EA game.... but I was intrigued. So my first game was me (Rangers) vs the Isles.... now not the toughest of matchups, so probably no surprise in my 4-2 win.

I decided to step it up... me (Detroit) vs the Penguins... again box settings, I lost 6-0... now im not the greatest gamer or joypad jockey, but I never get creamed like that in NHL games. What Pittsburgh did and to an extent the Isles in my first game, was use variety... tactics/gameplans whatever you want to call it, there wasnt a case of the AI struggling to think of ways to get through me, they planned it and in game 2 executed it well.

Its definately not the greatest game out of the box, but damn you can tell that there is some clever AI behind all this.... so as Jim (if I may call you that) says, you have to give this game time. If you want NHL hockey, stick with this as with all the customisation options out there, you will get it... and even more than that, you will get Detroit hockey.... you will get Montreal hockey... you will get Dallas hockey... whatever styles these teams have, I believe the 2K10 will get as close to repricating the differences as anyone ever has.

Most of all, the little things are in there, they count and they contribute to this game... on the ice you wont get better.

Out of the box I felt like the game was stuck in the mud. Now after a dozen games with my sliders the way I like them I am cruising around, dumping pucks and actually, playing hockey.

The AI is whompin' me too. I love it. They pass, dump, double team breakout and, actually, play hockey. If you don't play your position YOU WILL LOSE!

I still skate in the mornings before work, played hockey in high school (DII baseball in college) and love the game of hockey. I have had more variety in goals for and goals against than I have seen in any game to date.

Hopefully people don't fizzle out right away though. People want sim but don't want to dump the puck, pass, play positional. They want sim to be stick handling with Hal Freekin Gill LEFT,RIGHT,LEFT like he is Sergei Samsonov, now that is sim..........cough cough

Liike josta tilasin, ilmoitti että pelit ovat saapuneet kyllä maahatuojalle, mutta pegimerkinnät ovat viivästyttäneet niiden toimittamista jälleenmyyjille. Eli jos joku kotimaasta tilannut odottelee peliä huomiseksi, ei kannata ihan hirveän varma olla siitä että viikonloppuna pelaa vielä tätä. :mad:

Joo, sama viesti ilmaantui itsellenikin. Että eipähän peliä tule vielä. Mitenkähän on, kerkeääkö peli huomenna kauppoihin, jos peruisi tilauksen ja kävisi ostamassa... Kun ei kyllä jaksais millään odottaa.
