Infinity Ward vie sarjan nykypäivään/ lähitulevaisuuteen. :cool:
Ilmestyy tämän vuoden puolella, ja on ainakin omalla hankintalistalla.

- Main bad guy - a Russian ultra-nationalist called Zakhaev, who will do anything in his power to bring Mother Russia back to the days when Stalin ruled with an iron fist.

- Zakhaev is being backed by a significant group of dodgy Russian businessmen, mafia and military, so has a lot of meaty hardware at his disposal, which he promptly uses to start a civil war in his mother country. However, Zakhaev knows that the other world powers will eventually get involved in his little conflict, so he hatches a scheme to occupy the attack dog of the West, the USA.

- More realistic animation and liquid-smooth visuals whizzing past at a solid 60-frames-per-second.

- As before, AI soldiers point the way towards objectives, and you have multiple paths through the levels.

- Explosions now have a physical shock wave - walls collapse sending rubble and dust particles into the air and vehicles can be shot to pieces and will blow up if damaged enough. You can now pick up grenades that have been thrown at you and chuck them back as well, with access to tear gas and flashbangs as well as smoke and frag grenades. The ballistics and impact of every weapon have been accurately modelled too, allowing you to use, say, a heavy machine gun to shoot through walls and ceilings to kill bad guys.

- If the beautiful terrain wasn't populated with mad Commie terrorists trying to kill you with rocket launchers, you'd believe it was a sneak-peak at a new Elder Scrolls game.

- Also, to aid your immersion, Infinity Ward have gone further by reducing the amount of HUD information than in other Call Of Duty games - they've got rid of the mini-map in single-player, and information on weapon choice pops up then fades away quickly.

- "You'll be in Russia doing some spy-type stuff in camouflage suits, then you'll head to the Middle East with squad warfare supported by helicopters, then become a gunner on an attack helicopter, then back to Russia protecting a defector from Zakhaev. COD4 even has back-story missions where you go back 15 years in time for a Highlander- flashback."

They were quick to point out that they wanted to make the experience as smooth and easy-to-use as possible, which is why theyve instituted a party system similar to the one used in Halo 2. Youll also be able to hop right into matches that are already in progress, although were not totally sure how thatll work when it comes to keeping teams balanced. It will be a class-based multiplayer game thatll also have an experience system in which players can unlock stuff through solid play.

By far, the best of these unlockables is the ability to Create a Class of your very own. While some folks will likely stick with the traditional assault/sniper/medic classes, we cant wait to make one of our very own. Youll start out by picking a primary weapon with attachments like a silencer or a scope, then choose a side arm or grenade to bring into battle. While thats all well and good, the most intriguing parts of creating a custom class are the perks that allow you to differentiate your class from everyone elses online....

Kunhan yksinpeli olisi tässä oikeasti hyvä ja kenttäsuunnittelu edes jotenkin pelattava... Muutenhan tämä kuulostaa "CoD3 mod with up-to-date weapons".:rolleyes:

Toivottavasti ei sukkaa yhtä pahasti kuin Cod 2, kolmosesta en ole vielä edes ehtinyt pelata ja se on juuri tällä hetkellä harkinnassa.

Jos kakkonen ei iskenyt kannattanee jättää kolmonen suosiolla väliin. Itse pidin paljon CoD2:sta, mutta kolmonen oli melkoisen kuivahtanutta pakkopullaa.

Nelonen taas näyttää ihan kunnon toimintapläjäykseltä, ja onhan puikoissa jälleen se oikea tekijätiimi. Ehdottomasti omalla odotuslistallani.

COD 3:sen jälkeen olin varma etten enää kyseiseen pelisarjaan koske, mutta kyllähän nämä uudet videot on palauttanut uskon. Näyttää aivan helvetin hyvältä ! Infinity Ward tosiaankin näyttää osaavan hommansa. Milloinkahan se multiplayer beta mahtaa alkaa ?

Tässä oli kyllä messujen positiivisin yllätys odotuksiin nähden! 3 osan skippasin, kun ei siinä mitään uutta ollu tarjolla. Tää näytti kyllä todella lupaavalta ja valmiilta. Grafiikka teki isoimman vaikutuksen koko messuista. Ainahan se lopullinen peli sitten voi olla jotain muuta.. aika näyttää

Liikkuvan kuvan perusteella tulossa on jotain graafisesti mahtavaa.

Toivottavasti tämä osa korjaa myös muutamia edellisosien suurimpia ongelmia. Minua ärsytti edellisosassa kaikista eniten yksinpelin turhauttava kenttäsuunnittelu, joka oli mallia "putki". Toiseksi ärsyttävin seikka oli varmasti viholliset, jotka tekivät aina ne samat asiat samassa paikassa kenttää. Lähinnä kaipaisin parempaa kenttäsuunnittelua ja kehittynyttä tekoälyä, joka tekee muutakin kun sciptissä lukee.

Sama, toivottavasti ei ole putki, ennalta skriptattujen räjähdysten ja muiden eventtien kanssa tehty päivitys.

Hieno traileri kyllä, mutta niinhän ne aina. Odottelen silti toiveikkain mielin

Joo, harvoin on huonoja "peräkärryjä". Mutta jostain syystä en ollut täysin vakuuttunut....Liekö se luottamus mennyt trailereihin vai mitä.

Tämä on kuitenkin hankintalistalla. Ehdottomasti :cool:

Tuleekos tämä muuten PC:lle? Meinaan vaan livetyksen suhteen. COD2 tahkonnut ankarasti puuceellä, mutta kehitys ois paikallaan :)

Joo, no niin pitikin.

Ollaan jo pistetty vanhan CODin (2) parhaitten kamujen kanssa COD4 klaani vireille.

kyllähän tämän taitaa joutua hankkimaan koska battlefield 2: MC oli itelle pienoinen pettymys :eek:
