Only differences I made were to speed burst time, shot accuracy, and offense. I feel computer has a slight advantage in speed, but this may have more to do with their superior abilities to conserve energy and use speed burst more efficiently. I also have noticed on breakaways that on Shot Acc 0 for computer they hit a lot of posts. At 2, they seem to score those breakaway goals more often [and rightfully so].
Key facts:
-first time ive ever been forced to ice the puck by the computer
-been awhile since i was forced to dump. these settings force me to dump because of pressure or in need of a line change numerous times a game.
-these settings require A LOT of defensive focus. Position is key. Different teams and different players require different defense. If there's a fast player barreling in, I usually try to aggressively position myself right in front of the player with timely poke checks and then finally i charge for a check to try to throw him off the puck. Other players i merely play the pass and wait in the lane to try to intercept it. USING WHITE IS HUGE HUGE DEFENSIVE FUNCTION. TURN AUTO GRAB PUCK OFF and when there's a pass prees white you will attempt to intercept it or block it with stick, skate, body, glove, player will even kneel down to block it. it also works well at STEALING the puck. get up close to a player and press white, or bump into him and press white.
-bottom line: if goalie makes a save, and there's traffic, hold Y to freeze the damn puck quick! a faceoff will give you chance to get fresh boys out there, it will also slow down the tempo a bit. finally, play your strategies. i use positional because i like to cycle, i try to set up point shots, and wrist shots from the faceoff dots. i stick with it and usually the bounces come. Most team's defenes are aggressive enough where you have to actually fight for good scoring chances. Other teams [NSH, CAR, etc.] arent as aggressive so there's a LITTLE more room to get off shots. but sticking to your strats will bring the goals. AND USE WHITE ON DEFENSE!!!!!!! "
