Tämä on niin selkeää sota-materiaalia, joten laitetaan nyt tänne... Ratchet & Clank peliä PS2:lle kehittävän Insomniacin Brian Hastings lupaa tällaista ign.comin keskustelupalstalla:
By the way, Thynk, it's cool to see you still have that sig. That was from the thread way back when I made the (apparently audacious ) claim that when the PS2 is used properly it might have more CPU horsepower than Xbox. I hope that Ratchet and Clank will help back that statement up. I guess we still have to wait for Project Ego to come out before there can be any feces eating, though.
In the meantime, to make things interesting, I can offer the following general benchmarks: R&C can support over 500 individually-updated moving polygonal objects at once while letting you see from one end of the world to the other (typically more than 400 times Ratchet's height in distance) and still maintain a solid 60 fps frame-rate. If there is an Xbox game out this year that does those things at the same polygon count AND maintains a consistent 60 fps frame-rate, I'll buy everyone in this thread an Xbox.
