Wukongista lisää leakkejä ihan hyvältä kuulostaa, pari sellaista asiaa mitkä saa ehkä itseä vähän varautuneeksi, mut overal kuulostaa erittäin God Of War:lta. mihin olenkin peliä jo useasti verrannut.
So a friend of mine has talked with a reviewer (they’re close friends) to get some information about the game. I didn’t ask about the story or the final boss since i don’t want to spoil myself. Before you ask, i’ve created this account because i don’t want to get banned from this sub on my main because of not having a source or whatever. It's up to you whether you believe me or not, reviews are coming out this week anyway.
•It took him around 25 hours to beat it but he didn’t to all the side stuff. It’s safe to say at least 30 hours for 100% completion.
•Graphics look similar to the last trailers, don’t worry about that.
•He had some stutters and frame rate drops despite playing on a pretty high pc but it’s nothing like DD2 or Jedi Survivor.
•It’s much easier than soulslikes. There are a few challenging bosses but not like Malenia level hard.
•He didn’t really care about the story before playing the game but he liked it. You might like it more if you are familiar with JttW or chinese mythology.
•There are a lot more cutscenes compared to typical soulslikes, but it’s sometimes hard to understand what they are talking about or what is going on. There’s a chance that’s because he had no idea about the caracters or the myth.
•English dubbing is not bad, but don’t expect Fromsoft level voice acting.
•Decent amount of npcs and quests. They are not that hard to follow.
•More than 50 transformations. Each of them are unique and fun.
•Wukong has some cool skills and spells, but not many. It gets repetitive and possibly boring at some point if you don’t use transformations.
•Great amount of enemy and boss variety. Especially some boss designs are one of the best he has seen. It exceeded his expectations but he wishes they were a bit more challenging. Even though some of them are reused, there are still a lot of bosses.
•Level design is pretty linear but there are some explorable optional areas. It’s not a boss rush but it’s possible to play it that way.
•Levels are not interconnected.
•Overall, he says it’s the best game he has played this year (excluding SotE) and definitely a goty contender despite some flaws.
