"Take rain. Droplets fall on the windscreen at low speeds, trickling down before being swept away by wipers. Put your foot down and water begins to run upwards on the glass and away to the side, exactly as it actually would. The effect is excellent. In fact, it's far too easy to stick the car in the ditch while you're watching it.
Snowfall is equally impressive, smearing away under wipers as you career around Swedish bends. In fact, if you've ever driven in heavy snow, you'll be left laughing in amazement when you see
McRae 3's ice levels in action. Honestly, it really does look that good.
Other touches will instil rally fans with instant joy. You can drive
through tapes at the side of the road, and even drag them along
behind the car. Plastic barriers fold in exactly the correct manner
when you cruise through them: you can't do any of this in
Infogrames' recently released V-Rally 3. The car itself is
completely destructible as you can see from these screens: you
can even knock your own wheels off and ram them down the road"
