Mutta MGS1 voi pelata PS2:lla, koska siinä toimivat PSOne pelit.
Siis MGS1 on ollut PS2:lla.

Olihan huhua myös että MGS2 tulisi GameCubellekkin, mutta muistaakseni jollain Konamin sivulla luki Metal Gear Solid X - Xbox - Coming 2002... En nyt mene takuuseen, mutta muistaakseni kuitenkin...
No tuo Cube juttu taitaa olla TÄYSIN huhu ja siksi taita jäädäkkin. Konamin japsi sivuilla taas tosiaan luki MGSX ja alustana oli Xbox, MUTTA julkaisuajasta ei sanottu mitään vaan siinä luki TBA (eli ei kerrota vielä tai ei ole vielä tiedossa). Eli mitään on todellakin ilmoitettu. Eivätkä nuo Wombutin lainauksetkaan ole hänen omasta päästään.

Hmm, itse en löytänyt Konamin sivuilta, en Japsi enkä muilta mitään mainintoja MGS2 xbox versiosta.

Last year when Microsoft unveiled its plans for the Xbox, a title from Konami known only as Metal Gear Solid X was disclosed. Thought to be an enhanced version of the original PSone game, no screenshots were ever shown and eventually the title disappeared from the release schedule altogether. So that was it for Metal Gear on the Xbox until now!
In a recent American radio interview, Seam Blackley (Xbox Technology Director) was quizzed about the possibility of an Xbox version of Metal Gear Solid 2, and responded with a surprising answer : Theres a custom version of MGS2 coming for Xbox from Konami
Certainly this response would make sense, as Konami has recently started translating many of its PS2 exclusives onto Microsofts console. As revealed a while ago first on Xbox Gamers, ISS will be making its way onto the format this spring, with Silent Hill 2 already released.
So what could an Xbox translation bring that we havent seen on the PS2? Both consoles are capable of producing some amazing lighting and transparency effects, but the PS2 comes out worse in a few other areas. For a start the resolution limitations of Sonys machine have been widely documented and, although MGS2 doesnt suffer too much from the usual jaggies, the Xbox would undoubtedly make the game look smoother and sharper.
But its the textures that could benefit from the translation the most. Due to the PS2s lack of RAM and the fact that the machine doesnt use texture compression, Konami was forced to keep the background detail low and use all the textures it had to work on the characters. The Xbox would allow the designers to put just as much detail into the environments as on the characters, as well as using Xbox-only techniques such as bump-mapping to improve the depth and realism.
Of course, its not just the graphics that could benefit from the extra processing power the gameplay too could be enhanced. For example, the corpses of massacred soldiers could stay in position for the entire game rather than disappearing the moment you leave the area. But then this could simply be a straight translation from the PS2, which would still be a great game. Remember this is the cream of the PS2 games.
[UPDATE] We have now received word that the game will feature extra sections for you to play with Solid Snake. If the PS2 game was classed as one of the best gaming experiences of all-time, what will a majorly updated and enhanced version be classed as? The Best Gaming Experience of All Time??

Ei vielä vakuuta.
Sama hemmo hypetti ennen xbox julkaisua Squaren siirtymisestä MS kelkkaan, ei toteutunut sekään.

Koitatko nyt sanoa ettet usko vieläkään että MGSX on tulossa Xboxille? Siis se että se lukee Konamin sivuilla ei sulle riittänyt? Asia selvä, keskustelu voidaan lopettaa sillä tämä on kuin hakkaisi päätä seinään kun herra juupaseipäs on jotain saanut päähänsä (ties mistä) niin sehän silloin on niin?
