There is how the aiming work for all camera but side view.
No matter what is your team direction (up or down), left is left and right is right... If you want to shoot high, its up, you want to shoot low, its down... If you do not aim, it will go in the center of the net.... Because we use the analog stick, you have more control... you can aim everywhere in the net... its just more difficult.
We read the target from the controller as long as the shot is not done... so keep aiming until the puck isnt shoot.
However, its not because you aim somewhere, that your shot will be on target. Obviously, shot accuracy is a big factor, but be aware that player has an internal value to keep track of their control of the puck. If they are hit, or do sharp turn or execute side step, deke, etc etc, they will loose some of their control (again base on their attributes ). So, if you shoot when you dont have control of the puck, its less likely that you will hit your aiming point.
Also, making the puck going high (especially when you are close) is more difficult and some player will have more trouble doing it.
-------------
stronger is your shot, more difficult it will be to go top corner.
I.e. its really difficult to hard slap it top corner... especially when you are close.
-------------
If you play hockey and you hold you stick up doing a slapper for 5 seconds... will it make your shot more powerfull ?
No.. actually it will be the inverse... you have to keep the momentum of your stick creating the energy that will blast the puck... holding your stick up in the air kill the momentum...
Its more like golf game... its all about timing.
--------------
If I was you, I will try at gamespeed 1 or 2... you shouldnt see a big difference in the speed of the game but the small difference in the shooting speed should create more goal.
--------------
Something people have to know is when you change the game speed, it changes the skating speed and also the speed of the puck.... including faster shot and pass. Usually this is translated into more goals !!! Personnaly, I use a speed of 3: it might be a little bit faster than the nhl (not that much), but in 5 minutes period, we (me and AI) are getting about 18-34 shot (avg: 25) and 0-6 goals (avg 3)... and this is per team, not total.
I started a franchise the last weekend with the pens and Hedberg gaa is 2.63 and his save% is 0.898... and I am 12-9-2-0 in my season.
And if you want more One-Timer goal, I suggest you to increase the pass speed (mine is 8)... it helps a lot.
Siinä niitä sitten oli. Toivottavasti on apua
