Having vow to address some of the issues with Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer component "as quickly as soon as we can," maker Rockstar has now rolled out an automatic update for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 open-world western.
"This fix addresses a specific issue that was found where the player's multiplayer avatar, their horse or their weapons would occasionally not be visible in multiplayer games as well as an issue that some players were experiencing where they would lose connection to the various multiplayer modes," the company explained via Facebook.
Players of either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 edition will be prompted to download the update upon booting the game while signed into their console's online service.
"We will continue to investigate any and all issues people may be having including the ones this update aims to fix," added Rockstar, which also thanked players for their "patience and understanding as we work through this stuff" and asked those in further need of assistance to "please contact
RDRsupport@rockstargames.com and make sure to include your platform and online ID."
